What's New in Office 365: New Features and Educational Opportunities

April 9, 2019 Cara Stafford

Office 365 provides all your team needs to collaborate, communicate and work smarter across any device from any location. It can be overwhelming to keep up with all the new features that are being rolled out, but New Signature is here to help highlight those, while providing additional tips, tricks and education.

Here are just a few of the most-recent additions to the Office 365 feature package:

  • Hands-free functions
If you have your hands full, Word and Outlook can help you out. You can select the “Read Aloud” option and have your emails and documents dictated to you, or you can reverse that function by clicking “Dictate” to engage the-talk to-text function in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and OneNote.

  • Chat while you edit
Cloud-based tools allow for greater collaboration and now you can open a chat box with any co-author in a Word document keeping the comments section clean and the productivity rolling.
  • Break the language barrier
You can use Microsoft Translator in any of the Office applications to translate words, phrases or even complete sentences. This tool lives in the “Review” tab; learn more with the Microsoft tutorial video.
