Office Explorers Episode 021 - Inspire and Tips with Us!

Let’s breakdown some of the pro tips that Kat and Rob share this month that can help elevate your experience and stay up-to-date with the best that Office 365 has to offer.

    • Install Web Apps
When you’re using apps within Office 365 online, you can download that app as a “web app”, which is an elevated experience from online app experiences and unlocks features that you wouldn’t otherwise have access to.

    • Outlook Calendar Tips
There are some great calendaring tips that can help keep you organized, including snoozing, pinning and dragging items to and from ToDo. Also, you can right click on your calendar time slots and add other time zones and set time block lengths, down to 15 minute increments.

    • Status Messages in Teams
There’s no better way to describe your availability than to add notes to your Teams status. You can let people know that you’re focusing, away for vacation, or may not see messages immediately. You can also @ mention people in your status and set that message to reply automatically to Teams messages. Setting your status is a great way to maintain control over your time and productivity.

    • Stream: Recording Your Desktop
By utilizing the “Create” button on the Stream desktop, you can record your desktop motions. It helps you to create demonstrations or trainings in short, 15-min internals. You can pause, change screens and fine-tune your messaging.

  • Word Updates
Did you know that you can compare versions of a Word document with another and keep the changes that you’d like? This helps to streamline edits when you have multiple copies of a draft. You can also use Word Editor that, using AI, will help check grammar, tips on how to elevate your sentences and create better flow within your writing.
  • MyAnalytics/Focus Time
When you start using these productive tips, you can use MyAnalytics and Focus Time feature in order to see how much time you’re able to focus and allows you to set blocks of time in order to complete deep work. MyAnalytics can also make recommendations to your schedule so that you are protecting your time and creating a better work-life balance.
