From November 4 – 8, Microsoft Ignite event was held in Orlando, Florida. With attendees totaling over 25,000 strong, the conference focused on hands-on and speaker session experiences designed to help innovate in areas such as security, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure and development.

Evelyn Padrino, Azure Customer Success Marketing Director was joined by New Signature’s Strategic and Advisory Services Lead, Sean Morris, to discuss how New Signature is leveraging Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption framework in our NS:GO program.

In the session, Sean and Evelyn discuss potential blockers to customers and how these obstacles will differ due to where a company is situated based on their unique cloud journey.

They focus on:

  • The importance of shifting the way customers think about the cloud
  • Encouraging a more holistic point of view
  • Being mindful of the technology perspective but leading with the business vision and strategy.

Solving key business issues could lead to better staff efficiency and productivity, increased revenue and ability to scale the business.

This movement was first prompted by the book “Building a Digital Operating Model with Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework? – Ask the Smart Questions”. This book, co-authored by New Signature Dan Scarfe, positions cloud adoption as not purely about technology, but equally about people, business and process. New Signature’s NS:GO initiative aligns perfectly with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework, helping customers to bridge the gap between their IT and business teams, and allowing them to embark on their unique cloud transformation journey.

Both the NS:GO model and Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework inspire customers to visualize their future cloud state as not just another technology refresh, but as a fundamental journey that encompasses all aspects of a business.
