Thinking of Building a Digital Operating Model using the Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure? Ask the Smart Questions

November 4, 2019 Dan Scarfe

We talked before about the six decade war between agility and control.

That idea set a spark. A spark that simmered. A spark that caused four friends to start chatting. And chatting. And trying to understand what is this battle between agility and control? Between a traditional model of IT operation and a future model of operation. How can the business and IT truly come together and partner to help organisations transition to becoming a digital business?

At a perfect time, Microsoft started to release their Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure. It was a match made in heaven

So, we decided to collect our thoughts. To start to explain what we all thought. To create a narrative about what we think it means to be a digital business and how we believe the missing piece you need to construct it, is a digital operating model. We used the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure as our grounding point and demonstrate how you can use it as a fantastic resource to help you on your journey.

In two parts, we help you to understand what a digital operating model is, through the lens of the business and the lens of technology. Two stories combining and converging to help organisations on their journey to becoming a digital business.

So today we are thrilled to announce our book “Thinking of Building a Digital Operating Model using the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure” as an official companion book to the Cloud Adoption Framework.

To celebrate its launch and thanks to our great friends at Microsoft, we are able to make available a digital copy of the entire book, which normally retails for $22, free of charge!

You can download a copy of it here:
